What could I wear with white Victorian gloves?

I've got some really great satin kid gloves that go about halfway up my forearm.
But what could I wear with them?
I tend to dress neo Victorian/steampunk.
I'm looking for something casual enough to wear out shopping or to dinner, but dressy enough to match the gloves.

Hmmm. I'm not sure how you would wear long white satin gloves in a somewhat casual environment like shopping. I would've suggested a dark fitted blazer, but then you'd look like someone's butler.

As far as dressy is concerned, the kind of gloves you have, I think, would look best with a strapless top:

If strapless is too risque for you, then you can try lace top as well which will compliment and give a more Victorian look:
