Is there any religion whose complete paraphenalia is without cost?
including:
- places to assemble, if assembly is necessary to the religion
- documentation/media
- idols/charms/trinkets/jewelry/etc
- orator services (priests, etal)
- gold trim (like the Vatican)
- anything else religionists support financially w/in the religion that doesn't directly go to any charitable use
So what essentially you are saying is that if it religiously related, it should be gratis? But the rest of the world can charge for similar services, as long as it's not under the heading of religion. Explain to me then, how expenses and day to day living costs are supposed to be met? And should money be turned away that is freely given by someone who wants to give tribute to God (such as building a church, or gilding parts of a church (vatican as you pointed out). A lot of the stuff that is sold, that is sold by the religious, is for covering their expenses, the excess is used for the good of the people in their area (normally), or for those in other areas that are in dire need.
What you should be more concerned about is when ministers tell you that God wants them to have a bigger and better house or a new car and that you should send them money.
