How can you make skating tights not look like they're cutting you in half?

Okay so like no matter what size I get my skating tights always seem to like cut me in half at the waist line and the tight line shows through the dress like with some panty hose does on regular dresses. Is there any way to hide it or make it less noticeable?

I had the same problem to!

Cut the elastic in the waist band! Not by much but enough that the band of the tights will go up over your belly button.My coach always has me pull them up to just under the bottom of my bra.lol
