If I replace my bath with a double walk in shower will it reduce the price of my property?
my bathroom is very small and would look stunning if the bath was taken out and a double shower put in across the whole of one wall
I'd love to do the same with my bathroom, and if I had the money, I would! Just for my own pleasure, I never have a bath, I hate them.
but it could reduce the value of your property, it depends who's likely to buy it when/if you sell. Families with young children will almost always want a bath, and a lot of Brits even without children love their baths.
'young professionals' are more likely to just want a shower so if you have a property of the type and location that appeals to them it might even increase it's appeal if you put a really nice modern walk-in shower in, but otherwise it'll more likely devalue it, sadly.
I'd do it anyway, if I could, I would enjoy it enough to not care about the value of my property and the only way I could afford to sell it and move is if I won the lottery anyway so it wouldn't matter to me if I had to reduce it's price!
