Speed show- keyhole race? & suggestions on classes?
I am trying to put together a fun little speed show for our barn and visitors.
Someone suggested the keyhole race- what exactly is it?
Also,
Here are my classes so far- I want to encorporate something for everyone, and suggestions on how to add more for the slower horses, since that is what most of our barn is?

key hole is where you draw a large circle with lime or something in the middle of the arena with a little alleyway coming from one side of it. The alleyway measures about 4 feet wde the circle is i be;lieve about 15 feet. the rider runs up the alleyway turns in the circle. and runs back out the alley. you cannot cross over the white lines or out of the circle. the fastest time wins
you could also add a figure 8 speed race or one barrel speed race and the rescue race is always fun but only for experienced riders. in rescue you have one barrel at the end of the arena, a partner stands just behind the barrel, you then run up to the barrel and the partner tries to sqing onto the horse as you are turning. fastest time = winner but you MUST return with your partner. helmet recomended! lol

just noticed the links to keyhole:0 wow we sure run that different at saddle club!!!! lol we havent used poles just an outline in powdered lime on thwe arena floor and it's shaped liek an old timey key hoel
