Pink Cat
We have DSH cat with pink paw pads. One foot has black plantar pad and one black digital pad. Significant?
We've just adopted a 7-month-old DSH cat with mostly pink paw pads. On the right foot, however, the plantar pad and one digital pad are black. Is this nothing more than color variation, like fur color, or might it be an indication of a problem? He doesn't much like his paws handled/examined. He appears otherwise healthy: eating habits, bowel movements, activity level, etc. Of course a vet visit is in order if this is uncommon. Thanks!
I've had several cats with some pink paw pads and some black. I think it's just because they have different colored fur, so I wouldn't worry about it.
