Do pointy/pointed pumps go with every outfit?
Just wondering if pointy pumps will go with everything - I'm especially interested in knowing whether they will go with every type of skirt shape and dress (i.e. pencil/a line/flowing skirts, babydoll, slim, a-line, halter, gown length dresses).
Anything that you shouldn't wear pointed pumps with?
I want to get a pair of solid red shoes - wondering what type of shoe is most versatile (to go with pants, different black dresses, etc). Debating on getting red pointed pumps or maybe dress sandals instead.

for those who do not recommend getting pointed red pumps, what are the most versatile style to get instead?
From experience, the pointed toe shoes only look good with long pants, preferably ones that already cover most of the shoe! If you wear shoes that are the same color as the pants, they make your legs look longer. I think the bright red ones will be a nice contrast to monocolors, esp if you also coordinate with a belt or handbag.
